Account Opening Requirements
Customers and suppliers wishing to establish a trading relationship with Al Rafidain Jewellery Trading LLC must submit the documents listed below.
These are the minimum requirements. Additional documents may be requested depending on the applicant’s business activities, jurisdiction, ownership structure, transaction profile, and supply-chain risk.
Documents Required
1. KYC Form
Complete the applicable form:
All relevant fields must be completed. Missing or inconsistent information may delay the application.
2. Business Registration Documents
Certified copies of:

Valid trade or business licence

Certificate of incorporation or registration
-
Memorandum and Articles of Association
-
Share certificates or equivalent ownership records
-
Any relevant regulatory or industry licences
The trade licence should preferably remain valid for at least three months from submission.
3. Identification Documents
Valid passport or national ID copies—and UAE visa or Emirates ID where applicable—for:

Shareholders and ultimate beneficial owners

Directors and managers
-
Authorised signatories
-
Representatives operating or communicating on the account
4. Ownership and UBO Information
Applicants must provide:

Completed UBO Declaration Form.docx

Shareholding and ownership structure chart
-
Full ownership chain up to the natural-person UBOs
-
Source-of-wealth declaration for each UBO
-
Supporting evidence where requested
5. Source of Funds
A signed declaration explaining the legitimate source of funds intended for transactions with Al Rafidain Jewellery Trading LLC.
Supporting bank statements, invoices, contracts, audited accounts, or other evidence may be requested.

6. Proof of Address
Recent proof of address, generally issued within the previous three months, for:

Registered company address

Principal place of business

Ultimate beneficial owners

Authorised representatives where requested
Acceptable evidence may include a utility bill, tenancy contract, government document, or bank correspondence.
7. Corporate Authorisation
Applicants may be required to provide:

Board resolution approving the business relationship

Authority letter identifying approved representatives

Specimen signatures
-
Contact details of authorised persons
8. Banking and Financial Documents

Recent company bank statement
-
Bank reference or letter of good standing, where requested

Audited financial statements or management accounts

Bank-account details held in the applicant’s legal name
Third-party payments may be rejected or require enhanced review.
9. Tax Documents

Tax Registration Number

VAT or tax-registration certificate

Relevant customs, import, export, royalty, duty, or tax records where applicable
10. Compliance Declarations
Completed and signed copies of:

Any additional AML/CFT declarations requested by our Compliance Department
11. AML and Responsible-Sourcing Policies
Where applicable:

AML/CFT and proliferation-financing policy

Sanctions compliance policy
-
OECD-aligned supply-chain policy
-
Responsible-sourcing procedures

Recent compliance training or independent-audit evidence
Applicants that do not have an existing supply-chain policy may review and complete the following document:

12. Transaction and Shipment Records
Applicants with existing operations may be asked to provide recent examples of:

Purchase and sales invoices

Contracts or purchase orders

Airway bills or bills of lading

Packing lists

Customs declarations

Assay or purity reports

Payment evidence
-
Relevant import or export documents
13. Precious-Metals Supply-Chain Information
Applicants must disclose the type, origin, and intended use of the gold, precious metals, gemstones, or jewellery they propose to trade.
Depending on the material, we may request:

Supplier KYC documents

Country and mine of origin, where applicable

Refinery or producer details
-
Chain-of-custody and traceability records
-
Evidence distinguishing mined, recycled, industrial, or jewellery material
-
Upstream due-diligence information
-
High-risk jurisdiction or conflict-affected area assessments

Documents should be submitted in English. Certified translations may be requested for documents issued in another language. Originals, certified copies, notarisation, legalisation, or official stamps may be required for enhanced verification.
Screening and Consent
Information concerning the applicant, its owners, UBOs, directors, representatives, suppliers, and associated parties may be verified through applicable sanctions lists, PEP databases, adverse-media sources, public records, and reputable due-diligence platforms.
By submitting documents, the applicant confirms that the information is accurate and authorises its review and verification for account-opening, due-diligence, risk-management, and regulatory purposes.
Submission does not guarantee account approval or create an obligation for Al Rafidain Jewellery Trading LLC to establish a business relationship. The company may request additional information, suspend the assessment, or decline an application in accordance with its legal obligations and internal risk appetite.
